The Extech 42511 Dual Laser Infrared (IR) Thermometer features a unique dual laser which simplifies the distance-to-spot ratio by identifying the exact measuring spot when the two lasers converge to a single spot. No more calculations!
Both models are identical except for the difference in the distance to spot ratio and high end temperature range. The 42511 features a 12"1 (or 12" distance) ratio with upper temperature range of 1100°F.

What is the Field of View (Distance to Spot ratio)?
The field of view, also referred to as the distance-to-spot ratio determines how big or small of a target you can measure at a specific distance. Knowing the field of view ratio before you purchase can help you make a better decision about which meter fits your application the best. |
