Vira-Pore Viral Sampling Cassette: Advanced Airborne RNA Collection
The Vira-Pore viral sampling cassette, featuring the ZePore™ filter, is specially designed and validated for the collection of airborne RNA from coronaviruses. It can also be utilized for sampling RNA from other viruses, including:
- SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease COVID-19
- Influenza A
- H1N1
- H5N1
- SARS
The Vira-Pore cassette effectively collects viral particles while preserving the stability of viral RNA throughout the sampling process, transport to the laboratory, and storage prior to analysis. The collected RNA can be eluted and analyzed using RT-PCR with specific primers for the virus of interest.
